The Shell Theatre is celebrating St. Patrick's Day early with The Arrogant Worms.

The Canadian comedy group have been together since 1991, performing hilarious songs and entertaining audiences with their wit.

Shell Theatre supervisor Josh Gennings described them as "Smothers Brothers meets Red Green."

"They're a lot of fun on stage  it's laughter, it's comedy, it's witty humour," he added.

The Arrogant Worms have sold more than 160,000 copies of their 13 albums. Their songs have been in school lesson plans, in textbooks and were even played on the Space Shuttle.

Since St. Patrick's Day is on Sunday (Mar.17), the Shell Theatre is celebrating a little early so audiences can enjoy the show and drink some green beer without worrying about work the next day.

The show is on Friday (Mar.15) at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online and at the door.

Country Gold is next on the Shell Theatre lineup, performing on Monday (Mar.18).
