A man has been charged after a dangerous haul.

On the afternoon of May 7, the Morinville RCMP responded to a scary situation on Highway 28 just south of Highway 642.

After an investigation, police determined a Chevrolet K3500 truck hauling an antique vehicle lost a tire which struck a northbound Chevrolet Sierra and a southbound Honda Odyssey.

The Sierra had significant damage to the windshield and a youth passenger was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There was only minor damage to the Odyssey.

The 66-year-old man driving the K3500 was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for transporting cargo without preventing it from falling off.
