A woman has died after a house explosion.
On Sunday (Aug.26) shortly after 2 p.m., Strathcona County Emergency Services responded to the incident near Cooking Lake.
A 39-year-old woman was pronounced dead on scene. A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital with burns and a concussion. Police say a dog was rescued and taken to an emergency vet clinic.
According to Tim Moen, Strathcona County Emergency Services deputy chief, the house appeared to be heated by propane. The cause is still unknown.
An investigation is ongoing.
