Troublesome concrete bases have halted progress on some new traffic lights.
After failed concrete tests, the traffic safety structures were yanked down at Westpark Boulevard (near Husky and Ollie's Pizza).
"The contractor chose to take the poles down while those issues are getting resolved," said Grant Schaffer, director of project management with the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
The concrete bases were poured in the spring.
As a developer requirement for safety in the area, the lights are not a city cost.
There's no definitive time for completion, just "sometime this fall."
