Construction for another school will be underway soon.

Throughout the summer, various construction projects are planned for Wes Hosford Elementary in Sherwood Park, between June 30 and August 29.

In total, eight modular classrooms are being replaced. The new modular classrooms are expected to be fully installed and ready for students and staff before they return from the summer break.

One of the rooftop units is being replaced and as well as a portion of the existing roof.

Throughout the entire construction phase, access to the school and staff parking lot will be entirely fenced off.

"The main doors will reopen on August 23, the staff parking lot will reopen on August 30," said Laura McNabb, EIPS communications director.

Construction will not impact the Glen Allan Recreation Complex parking lot or the school’s playground, handball courts and back fields, all will remain fully accessible throughout the summer.

Renovations at the school will be complete by the time classes resume.
