Two former Fort hockey players were remembered at a recent vigil.
A public vigil for Darcy Haugan and Stephen Wack was on display at the JRC on Saturday (Apr.14). The two recently died in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash in Saskatchewan.
Former teammate in Humboldt and Fort Saskatchewan Chief, Luke Kempf, had nothing but praise for Wack.
"He was an amazing young man, took good care of himself, always eating the right things and doing the right things," he said.
Wack spent the 2013-14 season as a part of the Fort Saskatchewan Midget AAA Rangers.
"He was very into his computer and making videos, but he was just a great guy to live with," added Kempf. "It's tragic that he had to go so soon because he knew what he wanted in life and it's so sad to see."
Haugan spent the 1992-94 seasons with the Fort Saskatchewan Traders.
A vigil will be held for Jaxon Joseph, Logan Hunter, Parker Tobin and Stephen Wack at 1 p.m. on Tuesday (Apr.17) at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
