Sturgeon County has issued a water ban for the Sturgeon Valley Area.
As of Tuesday (May 22), dry weather forced water levels in the Allin Ridge Reservoir to drop to around 35 per cent capacity.
The five-day forecast projects the Allin Ridge Reservoir could be fully drained within three days at this rate.
Non-essential operational water use is banned.
This includes park and recreational area watering, lawn watering, street cleaning, firefighting training, hydrant and sewer flushing and other non-essential use until the reservoir recovers.
