Two people have been arrested after a risky drive through Morinville.
At around 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday morning (Nov.29), the Morinville RCMP were called to chase down a stolen vehicle with the help of Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Air1.
The vehicle entered Morinville on Highway 37 and made a quick stop in town before heading north on Highway 2.
The two suspects tried to steal fuel from a rural residence on Range Road 254, before getting stuck in a field where they chose to flee on foot.
Police, with the help of Dog Services and Air1 were able to track down the suspects and arrest them.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending against the two, who remain in custody.
