Morinville council doesnt want minors to be able to buy vaping products.

With no federal laws in place, Morinville Town Council is looking to implement some rules and restrictions.

"I think the municipality should add something in our bylaw system as an underlying thing that says what I think the majority of the community would feel, that we shouldn't be selling these products to minors," said councillor Stephen Dafoe.

"The two businesses locally that I've talked to assure me they don't (sell to minors)," added Dafoe. "But that doesn't mean someone else couldn't start up."

Administration is gathering more information on the idea and will bring the matter back to council at their next meeting.
