Morinville Town Council had their first meeting of a new term.
 
Their Swearing-In Ceremony was held on Tuesday (October 25).
 
"It went smoothly, it was great to see representatives out from the RCMP and Edmonton Garrison," said mayor Barry Turner.
 
Councillors Rebecca Balanko, Nicole Boutestein, Stephen Dafoe, Lawrence Giffin, Sarah Hall and Scott Richardson were all on hand for their big day.
 
"I think we've got a great team, a lot of great and diverse experience and I think we have the people in the right places to move us forward," added Turner.
 
A short meeting followed, with Dafoe being appointed deputy mayor for the first eight months.
