Bruderheim Town Council showed their appreciation to Pembina at their last meeting of the term.
In a town where council is routinely faced with "solving that million dollar problem with just $100,000," partnerships with others, certainly help.
Pembina stepped up to help Bruderheim repair and renovate their community arena, pitching in $25,000.
"To small communities that are, at times, have lots of needs and not always able to match up to those needs, it's huge," said mayor Karl Hauch. "The local businesses and in the area are key to our future going forward."
Pembina also chipped in $5,000 to help the Bruderheim Seniors Club repave their parking lot.
The town gifted Carson Scott (on behalf of Pembina) a nicely framed memento containing a depiction of the Bruderheim meteorite and a copy of the original article from March of 1960, when the meteorite struck near the town, an event still studied by scientists to this day.
Pembina is just one Heartland company that's pitched in to help improve the town with Shell being another contributor.
