Earlier today, the city of Morinville experienced a water pressure issue due to a water main break.

Crews quickly located the issue and completed repairs.

Residents were temporarily asked to restrict water usage, but now are able to continue using water as normal.

Anyone that notices unusual colouring of their water are asked to remove the faucet fitler and let the water run until clear.

Updates on the situation are posted on Town of Morinville Facebook and twitter feeds, as well as the town website.

"If residents are looking for information, that would be the most accurate and up to date information on where they can access it," said Felicity Burgman the corporate communications coordinator.

Information as to what caused the break has not been released.
