Expect to see a few displaced election signs after high winds gusts roll through the area tonight.
Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, Gibbons, Bon Accord, Redwater, Morinville, Lamont and Bruderheim.
Wind speeds could get up to the 90 km/h range this evening and into the morning. Areas south of the capital region could see gusts up to 130 km/h.
These strong winds can cause damage to buildings, such as roofs and windows. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
