Strathcona County Council will explore a possible community hub project.
The community hub would serve as a central space for residents to access social services and programs, while also creating opportunities for community agencies and public services to work together in new ways.
The county will conduct a feasibility study on the possible hub. Key considerations include examining what an accessible community space could look like, what social services are most needed locally and which providers would improve overall accessibility to these services.
A report summarizing research, feasibility, reccomendations and community feedback is expected to be provided to council in the fall.
The community is invited to share their thoughts on the project in an online survey, available Apr.30.
