Nomination Day for the Strathcona County Municipal Election saw plenty of new faces.
The following individuals have filed nomination papers for the positions of mayor and councillor.
Candidates for mayor: Roxanne Carr, David Dixon, Jacquie Fenske, Rod Frank and Linda Osinchuk
Candidates for council:
Ward 1: Robert Parks and Maurice Perrault
Ward 2: Dave Anderson, Leonard Goulet and Walter Schwabe
Ward 3: Brian Botterill, Brett Dermott and Nicholas Nigro
Ward 4: Jamie Fraleigh, Karen Lefebvre, Don McPherson and Bill Tonita
Ward 5: David Kierstead, Bob Leman, Aaron C. Nelson and Paul Smith  
Ward 6: Linton Delainey, Alan Dunn, Patrick Hildebrand and Sarah Patterson
Ward 7: Glen Lawrence and Brandie Harrop
Ward 8: Rex Adam, Katie Berghofer and Floyd House
Where to vote cards will be delivered to all Strathcona County households at the end of September.
The first day for advanced voting is October 1, with the election date on October 16.
