Strathcona County is helping election voters who are physically unable to go to the voting stations.

Residents can request a special ballot package online at www.strathcona.ca/election, by phone at 780-400-2017, by e-mail at [email protected], or by visiting the third floor of the Strathcona County Community Centre.

Also, people who will be away from the county on election day, are eligible to vote by special ballot, which will be sent out after nomination day on September 18.

All special ballots must be completed and returned to the election office no later than 8:00 p.m. on October 16.

If residents are unable to vote on election day, advanced voting opportunities are planned for October at a number of locations to increase access and convenience.

Residents will go to the polls in October to elect a mayor, one of eight councillors and the board trustees for Elk Island Catholic Schools and Elk Island Public Schools.
