Police are looking for more information after stray bullets were fired near Gibbons.
 
On Sunday (Aug.19) around 8 p.m. two golfers reported having a stray bullet land near them at the north end of the Goose Hummock Golf Course.
 
The Morinville RCMP said in a release that staff and golfers reported hearing gunshots for a couple of hours coming from the north, by Highway 28. A ground search was conducted of the area but no bullet fragments were found.
 
Police do not believe this was an intentional act.
 
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Morinville RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
 
According to the Alberta Wildlife Act, you must be at least 200 yards away from an occupied building when firing a gun.
