Strathcona County RCMP have a suspect in custody after a hit and run in Sherwood Park.
22-year-old Dalton Gray was arrested after he tried to gas and dash on April 22 at the Superstore Gas Bar. Witnesses say a male employee tried to stop Gray from leaving and was run over.
The employee was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries; no word on his condition.
Gray has been charged with:
- one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm
- one count of failing to remain at the scene of a crime
- one count of theft under $5000
Gray is in custody with his court appearance scheduled for July 19 at 9:30 a.m. in Sherwood Park Provincial Court.
