Kristyn Lough was a hero in Sherwood Park during the New Year’s celebrations.
She offered free rides home to those drinking throughout the evening.
"It's really a blast because they're all in good spirits at the time and everyone's very appreciative," said Lough.
This isn't the first year she's done it either, three years  ago she helped young women get home safely.
She puts out the offering every year on social media.
"It was important for me to give back to the community," added Lough. "I've never been a big partier, but especially now it's more important than ever to just be able to give back and make sure people are safe when they're able to go out and enjoy themselves which I think is awesome."
Along with a free ride, passengers got a little help for the next day in the form of a goodie bag; containing water, snacks and Tylenol.
