A couple from Sherwood Park received a nice boost to their bank account.

Alexandru and Anca Scaunasu won $100,000 on the January 24 EXTRA draw.

“I woke up and checked our numbers on the WCLC website,” said Anca. “I saw that we had six matching numbers, but I didn’t know what that meant.”

“She left me a note to check the ticket when I woke up,” continued Alexandru. “I had to double-check it. We couldn’t believe it.”

The happy couple plan to use their winnings to pay some bills and take a trip.

They purchased their winning ticket at Petro-Canada, located at 100-270 Baseline Road in Sherwood Park.
