Strathcona County has seen a significant number of thefts from vehicles this month.

Since November 1, Strathcona County RCMP have received 18 theft reports. Some of the neighborhoods hit most frequently include Summerwood, Aspen Trails and Mills Haven.

In most cases the vehicle doors were not locked, but there have been a few instances of vehicle windows being smashed to gain access. Some of the items that have been stolen include tools, laptops, cellphones, wallets, passports and insurance/registration papers.

Strathcona County RCMP encourage residents to keep their vehicle doors locked and remove any valuables.
