After two successful home games, the Heartland Roller Derby Association (HRDA) is searching for a place to practice.
Without being able to host home games due to hockey preparation in the Fort, the ladies are stuck with some time off before the HWY 14 RDA Fall Brawl III in Wainwright.
"All we can really do is fill our time with off-skate conditioning, maybe a little bit of trail skating, but that really doesn't address our game-play strategies, it makes it very difficult to prepare for a tournament such as Fall Brawl," said Katrina Chapman, blocker for the HRDA.
In September once the school year starts, the club will be able to start practicing again at Fort Christian.
"Last year at the Sportsplex we had a very small gap, maybe a week before we were able to get into the school space," added Chapman.

The roller derby season is a year round event, releasing minimal details Chapman mentioned there could be a big event coming to the Fort in October.
