Things are only going to get hotter as we finish off the weekend.

With temperatures expected around 30 C on Sunday (Jul.29) and Monday, Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Fort Saskatchewan, Sturgeon County and Strathcona County.

Night time lows will be in the high-teens, while with the humidex, temperatures could be pushing 35 C.

UV rays shouldn't be too much of an issue with the hazy skies, but if that sun does peek through, we could see the UV index at 8 or very high.

People are advised to take precautions in the hot weather by rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler times of day and drinking plenty of water.
