Local artist Olivia Rose has another award to put in her trophy case.
 
On June 29, Rose won the Rising Star Award at the Edmonton Music Awards.
 
"It feels amazing, I am so honored, I never even thought it would be a possibility to win it two years in a row," explained Rose.
 
She just finished recording two new singles, one is entitled 'Hometown Sundowns'. The 18-year-old singer won $10,000 in a contest to put towards the music video for the song, it's expected out sometime in mid-July.
 
The singer/songwriter performed in Spruce Grove for Canada Day.
