City parks are a great place to spend time in the summer, but there are some rules to keep in mind.

All Fort Saskatchewan parks are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Residents are urged to be mindful of fire bans, which do not include propane-powered devices. Currently, there is no fire ban in the city.

Alcohol is not permitted.

"Another thing is that you're not allowed to camp overnight in a park, erect a structure, or have a trailer (in a city park) without permission," said City of Fort Saskatchewan’s supervisor of municipal enforcement   Matt Lowther. "The only time we allow people to do that is for special events or if the Lions' Campground is full, but they have to get a permit first."

Permits can be obtained by calling the city at 780-992-6266.

Fort Saskatchewan has over 400 hectares of parks, open spaces and recreational areas.
