Redwater's corporate services manager was recognized for her efforts at a recent town council meeting.
After a hail storm almost a year ago, Diane Pysmeny took charge to make sure the town was fixed-up properly.
"She put in literally hundreds of hours after the storm," said mayor Mel Smith.
The hail damaged 11 town vehicles, not counting resident's personal vehicles. It also flooded the town's museum and nearly destroyed a number of buildings, including the town office.
As a full house applauded, she stood with mayor Mel Smith to receive a certificate and a shirt for her efforts.
