The RCMP are reminding locals to drive for the conditions.

Numerous reports of collisions and vehicles veering off the road have come in over the past few days.

"You'll inevitably get where you're going if you just slow down and take it a little easier," said Corporal Laurel Scott with the RCMP "K" Division.

On November 1, there was over 140 collisions in the capital region between 6:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Along with slowing down, the RCMP are reminding drivers that more space should be given between vehicles, to turn on their low beam lights (in turn activating the rear lights) and to not make any unnecessary lane changes.

Road clearing crews are out in full force. Amber and red means snow plow ahead.
