Two suspects have been arrested after running from police.

Tuesday morning (Jul.31) at around 3:30 a.m., members of the Stony Plain and Spruce Grove RCMP  came across a suspicious vehicle at a construction site in Spruce Grove. Police tried to stop the vehicle, however the driver didn’t comply.

With the help of the Edmonton Police Services Air 1 helicopter and police dogs, they were able to track one of the suspects hiding under a trailer in a field near Range Road 272. A second suspect was arrested a short time later by Morinville RCMP.

Jody Peters, a 42-year-old man from Red Deer, is charged with 13 offences including flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of methamphetamine. Peters is still in custody and will be in court on August 22.

Shantell Hebert, 27, from Edmonton was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking. She was released from custody with a court date in early September.
