Are multi-unit households on the new organics program?

Not yet. Apartments, condos or any unit with four or more residences still use the standard front-load bins for garbage and recycling.

"We definitely want to to target our multi-unit buildings. After this roll out of the residential program, we will be focusing on that," said the city's waste program supervisor, Sadie Miller.

The multi-units are on a separate contract from the city's residential plan. Miller guesstimates they will join by late 2019 or early 2020.

"No set plans yet, but it is on the to-do list," she added.

Businesses also aren't involved with the program.
