The city has announced a new date for Co-op's Movie Under the Stars.

Last Friday (August 18), the event was cancelled due to rain and high winds. It's been rescheduled to Friday, September 1 in Legacy Park.

"Everything will go as it was supposed to go the first time and we're putting in our order that we won't have high winds this time and the weather will hold really well," said Jana Rowe, Fort Saskatchewan's community events specialist.

The movie, Shrek, was chosen by voters among a number of other movies with Canadian connections.

"We have pin the tail on Donkey and we also have a toilet paper toss and slime making, so it should be fun, quick activities," explained Rowe.

The movie should start around 8:45 p.m.

Officials ask that audience members bring lawn chairs and snacks.
