There will more light by the Fort Saskatchewan off-leash Dog Park.

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has responded to recent complaints and concerns, by installing lights near the entrance.

"Fortis is installing them (lights) right now and they should be finished sometime this week, if not then next week," said Adnan Kamal, engineering coordinator with the City of Fort Saskatchewan. "It's just on the road that leads to the dog park and then the parking lot."

The new lights should help those looking to use the park in the early morning and evening hours.

Right now there's no plan to put lights in the actual fenced area.

The 38 acres park is open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
