A Fort Saskatchewan resident has praised the care she received during her stay in the hospital.

Katherine Johnson spent time in the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital after having two surgeries at the Royal Alex in Edmonton.

"Then I came here to recooporate and I was in the hospital here for about eight months,” said Johnson.

She had another surgery last November, which again kept her in the hospital and she was able to return home just before Christmas.

"It's my second home," she said about the Fort's hospital. "It's a great hospital. The people, the care, the doctors, I mean if you have to be somewhere, I highly recommend it. it was very good I have no complaints."

The 5th annual Care From The Heart Day Radiothon takes place at the hospital from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday (Mar.8).
