Mayor Karl Hauch’s State of Community Address revealed sustainability is Bruderheim’s top priority.
He addressed the crowd at the mayor's supper on Friday (Mar.9).
“It was basically looking back at what we did last year, the challenges going forward and that our number one goal is sustainability,” said Hauch.
To do so long-term they need to increase the amount of business in town.
He boasted on the success of the business incubator, the new hotel and new community medical clinic.
Hauch claimed their recent land purchase will also pay off in the long run.
Some challenges include providing and maintaining quality in services.
“You think about the long-term impact of decisions in the day, so that drives council and myself about how we plan for our future,” said Hauch.
