The city is asking residents to stay away from flooded playgrounds.
The weather is causing flooding issues on Fort Saskatchewan playgrounds as of Tuesday (Apr.17).
"We have probably about 14 that are affected by the water right now," said the city's manager of parks services Jean Dabels.
A few of the worst are in Henderson Park, Ecole Parc School, James Mowatt School and Ethel and Allan Allard Park in SouthPointe.
The city is going playground to playground and pumping out the water.
"This is not unusual in a freeze thaw situation like we're in this year. The ground hasn't thawed yet and the water basically has nowhere to go," she added.
Cleanup should be completed in the next few days.
The public is asked to avoid the flooded areas until they are dry.
