The Morinville RCMP have a new interim detachment commander.
With Dale Kendall moving on to her new role, Sergeant Chris Palfy will take on the new role.
Palfy comes to Morinville from the St. Albert detachment. He has previously spent time in Evansburg, Grand Prairie, Strathcona County and with National Security.
"I'm looking forward to being involved in the community, getting out to meet people, getting involved and inviting people to see what it is we do as police officers," said Palfy.
With over 20 years of experience with the Mounties, Sgt. Palfy is ready to keep making progress.
"Sergeant Kendall's done such an amazing job in this past year, I think if we just keep our foot on the gas and keep everybody enthusiastic we can achieve some fantastic things in the coming years."
The Morinville RCMP Detachment covers Sturgeon County, Lac Ste. Anne County and Alexander First Nation.
