The Town of Morinville wants to see how efficiently their library is running.
Council has will allocate up to $30,000 to the Morinville Community Library to plan an external organizational review.
"The review itself will focus on efficiency of operations. Things like 'is the library staffed appropriately? What are the hours of operations and could their be efficiencies realized from having the library open or closed for certain hours, how many people are required per shift?'" Mayor Barry Turner said.
The library previously had plans to examine policies, procedures, staff and municipal funding rates.
Morinville's new CAO Stephane Labonne and the library board will now be selecting a firm to run the review.
The assessment was not included in the town's 2018 budget.
