Morinville Town Council unanimously voted to allow residents to park their RVs on their property year-round.
"The past bylaw restricted the parking of RVs from November until May," said Morinville mayor Barry Turner.
RVs are described in the bylaw as a vehicle, trailer, watercraft, or ATV that is used for recreational or work purposes.
Specific vehicles mentioned include motor homes, tent trailers and campers.
"It shouldn't matter what type of vehicle it is. The same restrictions or allowances should apply and that's what the new bylaw basically does," added Turner.
Some of the restrictions still in place include parking RVs on hard surfaces and complying with parking your RV at least one metre from the sidewalk.
