Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville MLA Jessica Littlewood recently helped the Lamont and District Agricultural Society celebrate their 100th anniversary.

Littlewood presented a commemorative plaque to the society at the Summer Sizzler Rodeo held earlier this month in Lamont.

Littlewood said it was privilege to have a chance to recognize the society’s work.

“It was a really nice thing to be a part of.”

Founded in 1918, the society aims to use education and entertainment to help strengthen and sustain the local agricultural community.
