Police in Morinville have identified the man from a recent homicide.
On the morning of Saturday (November 25), 25-year-old Ahmed Farah was found dead on the side of Range Road 251.
After an autopsy was released, the cause of the death was ruled a homicide.
Farah was released from the Edmonton Remand Centre at 12:50 a.m. on November 25 and at 2:40 a.m., he was found dead.
Investigators are looking to talk with anyone who may have seen any vehicles near Range Road 251, Township Road 542 and Range Road 250 and up to the area of Sturgeon Road or who may have someone resembling the victim walking in the area that morning.
The victim is described as a black man, 5’10”, 201 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes and bearded. He was last known to be wearing a black hoody and red pants.
