A Sherwood Park chef is one step closer to $100,000.
 
Beccy Stables, a 19-year-old tile setter assistant is now a top seven finalist on MasterChef Canada.
 
During the last episode on Tuesday (May 15), Stables prepared a near perfect array of oysters.
 
She is the youngest home cook to compete on MasterChef Canada and the only Albertan remaining.
 
The cooking competition is in its 5th season and starts with 12 competitors. The next episode airs on May 22.
