After a few weeks off, local mayors and councillors begin as early as tonight.
 
The town of Bruderheim will be having their first meeting of 2018 this evening (Jan.3) at 7 p.m.
 
Strathcona County council gets back to work on Jan.8 at 2 p.m.
 
In Sturgeon County, they'll start on the morning of Jan.9 at 9 a.m., Lamont County starts at 9:30 a.m., Fort Saskatchewan returns at 6 p.m. and Morinville will have there bi-weekly meeting starting at 7:30 p.m.
 
Gibbons council's first meeting will be Jan.10 at 10 a.m. and Redwater council will start up again on Jan.16 at 6:30 p.m.
