Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville MLA Jessica Littlewood is heading to Ukraine on a trade mission.
She'll be attending an oil and gas conference in Kiev, along with numerous industrial dignitaries and Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Deron Bilous.
From October 24 to 26, the conference is billed as the most important annual event for Ukraine's oil and gas industry, hosting seminars with leading Ukrainian and international industrial entrepreneurs.
"Because we have so many similarities between Alberta and Ukraine in terms of oil and gas and agriculture, I think it's a great opportunity to find those that are interested in building those connections and building more investment," explained Littlewood.
She added it will also help the Heartland, gaining valuable exposure to the international marketplace in one location.
We'll have a recap of her visit to Ukraine when she gets back.
