The new Kinsmen playground structure installation is underway in Fort Saskatchewan.
The next step for construction workers will be spreading sand this week, with landscaping to follow.
"Over the past three to four years we've gone in and replaced older playgrounds with new ones," said Joey Farebrother, engineering coordinator with the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
It's reported the city’s playground program will cost around $130,000.
Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of August, before school starts up again.
