The RCMP have arrested and charged Kenneth McLean.

McLean, 35, was arrested Monday morning (October 30) in Redwater.

On October 21, police were called to an oilfield office site where McLean reportedly caused mischief and damage to an oilfield vehicle. He was driving a stolen quad while the incident happened.

McLean is also facing charges in relation to an event the same morning, where two separate fires were reported near a Redwater transfer station.

Police have charged McLean with two counts or arson, mischief under $5000, disguise with intent to commit an offence, fraudulent concealment, possession of break-in instruments and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was released this morning with court imposed conditions and is scheduled to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on November 15.
