Road construction on Jubilee Drive is ahead of schedule.
Previously expected to be done in October, significant work wrapped up this month in the Lowe Ave area and paving will start soon.
"Right now they're done the underground work, replacement of the water and sewer mains and they're working on the curbs. Then they'll be paving in September," said Joey Farebrother, engineering coordinator with the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
The projects are all part of the City of Fort Saskatchewan's neighbourhood rehabilitation program.
"Ross Drive is already complete. There's just a little bit of landscaping to do there and then middle of September is when we're hoping to have Jubilee Drive open again," added Farebrother.
Back in July, the city did say that minor landscaping deficiencies could have crews return in the spring to finish the project.
