The Santa Claus Parade in Fort Saskatchewan was top drawer.

Saturday (Nov. 25), beautiful weather led the way for the 30 floats taking part in the event, up from 23 last year.

Thousands of visitors were on hand to see the creative float entries, Santa Claus and grab some of the handouts (mostly candy).

"It was a wonderful day, it was the 25th anniversary of the Santa Claus Parade here in the Fort and the crowds were huge," said Mike Leblanc, parade chair. "Everybody came out and had a great time."

The parade is organized by the Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce.
