Street lights on the Highway 15 bridge haven't been on for a couple of weeks.

Alberta Transportation confirmed the issue is being looked after.

"There was some work that was going on along Lamoureux Drive and Highway 15 and during that work, some of the wires that connect to those street lights were severed," said Wayne Wood, spokesperson for Alberta Transportation.

The issue was addressed immediately; however, time was needed to fix the wiring and safely regain power.

"Most of the lights, in fact I'm told all but two of the lights, are back on again."

The remaining lights should be working once crews can get a bucket truck safely onto the bridge, most likely at night.

Motorists with any road problems or questions about construction updates can contact 511 Alberta.
