More community engagement is on the mind of Gibbons mayor Dan Deck.
Although things have been going smoothly in Gibbons, mayor Deck is looking to improve on one specific thing.
"I would really like to see more community engagement. Getting the people back out in our community working together. The more engagement we have the more we can do for the people what they want us to do. Because we are the people's voice."
After six months as mayor, Dan Deck is enjoying his time leading the town on a new adventure.
"It's been a great honour and privilege," said Deck. "Do we always agree? Absolutely not. Nor should we, because we need the different points of view coming across."
Alongside Deck on Gibbons council include Jay Millante, Loraine Berry, Amber Harris, Jean Woodger, Darren McCann and Norman Sandahl.

"You don't pick your team, but you work with the team you're given and I'm very pleased with the team I've got."
