With oil prices continue to rise, gasoline in the Fort and area will now follow trend, with a 10-12 cent per litre hike.
"If they're selling gas for 105.9, that's a four cent retail margin and you're basically recovering from honouring credit card fees and nothing more," said GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst, Dan McTeague.
Current prices in Fort Saskatchewan sit at around 105.9 cents per litre and are expected to hit 115.9 to 117.9 cents per litre.
The national average gasoline price on Tuesday (Jan.23) was 119.5 cents per litre.
