Prices at the pump dropped significantly this week.
Average retail gas prices in the region have fallen five cents per litre in the past week, averaging out at 99.9.
"The equities and commodities markets took a direct hit, leading to noticeable declines in both oil and wholesale gasoline prices," said Dan McTeague, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy. "If the week ahead is any indication, the energy price complex is likely to further weaken as we enter the final half of the month of February."
The lowest price on Wednesday (Feb.14) in the Fort is 96.9 cents per litre.
McTeague added a weakening Canadian dollar played a big part in the drop.
This national fuel average has fallen 2.4 cents per litre in the last week.
